Sister Larson in Taipei

Hello. This week was actually crazy. So crazy imma just make a list of things that happened and try not to add too many details so that we can have a jam packed email party this week. • Biked out to our friend who lives really far away everyday. Our bodies and bikes are tired • On the way to said friend's house, got chased (Like actually chased) by scary, vicious, barking/screaming dogs. Not one, not two, but a pack of at least 10 dogs • Said some very short, very loud, very sincere prayers • Made it out alive • Got fed a  $30  6 course steak meal. It was delicious • Promised our friend if she would prepare for baptism, her son would get a job • Said son got a job that very afternoon (God is so good and answers our prayers!!!!!!!) • Threw away our friend's coffee. Most satisfying feeling ever • Had great zone conference in Hualian (2 hour train ride north up the coast) • Almost missed our train coming back, but barely made it by 2 minutes through the grace of God • Af...

This week was another great week down here in 臺東. We had a lot of super fun and also very interesting experiences. One thing that was super awesome this week was our friend texted us a scripture!! We had sent her a scripture earlier in the day and then when we were in a meeting, she texted us back a scripture in 2 Nephi 28:15!! At first we were just really excited to receive a scripture from her, that we didn't look and see what scripture she sent us. We didn't really look at it for about 5 minutes, because it's in Chinese characters and Chinese characters are sometimes hard to read and I didn't want to take the effort to figure what they said haha lol. Hello Wow. What a week. I'll try to sum it up and get us much details as possible without making this email 25 pages long, because it could be that long with what's happened this week. Transfers were given out on Tuesday night. I thought I was going to get sent to central Taipei right near the mission office (because that's where President said I was going to go) but then to my surprise I moved all the way down to Taidong! To those of you unfamiliar to Taiwan, Taidong is on the southeast coast of the island. It's a place filled with rice fields, cows, and the beach. Most people here are aboriginals and there are LOTS of wild dogs. And that's about it. There literally wasn't a farther or more rural place I could go in the mission than here. Lol. (See attached pictures) Getting here was really fun though. Our train tickets weren't until Friday morning, but transfer day was Thursday, so I chilled at the mission office all day.
