Chapter 5: Apostle Sighting at the MTC
Ni hao family!
This week has been the mission president's seminar where all the new mission presidents, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and the First Presidency come to the MTC. And I have yet to see an Apostle. cool. cool cool cool. They have all been taking tours of the new buildings but they never seem to come to our floor or our wing. I'm convinced they're not actually here. But Sister Warren and I saw Elder Bednar from afar shaking hands with a bunch of people that just happened to not be us, so at least we know he's here. The only downside to having the Apostles "supposedly" here is that we are not allowed to take the elevators because of the tours. Which means every meal and every time we have to go to our classroom, we have to take like 20,000 stairs to get to the 6th floor. Sister Warren and I are always dying by the time we get to the top. You'd think it would get easier every time, but no. It just makes our bodies more sore than before. We'll be in super great shape by the time we leave. (lol no we won't @theMTCfood)
But other than that, this week hasn't been very different than all the last weeks haha. We continue to teach our "investigators" that are actually our teachers. One of the personas we teach is a new member, so it's pretty fun because we get to have more of a discussion of what he already knows about the gospel and what else he can learn, rather than teaching someone who has never heard of Jesus Christ before. But I love teaching all people with all backgrounds. It's so fun.
Even though the days all kind of blur together here, I am having a ton of fun with my district, learning the gospel and Chinese. There is a special spirit here, but I am SO excited to get to Taiwan (4 more weeks!!) I love this gospel and I am so grateful everyday that I get the chance to be here, in this time and going to the mission I am going to.
Wo ai nimen!!
Love,
Sister Larson
v sorry I don't have pictures this week. My district has matching t-shirts but I forgot to bring my camera, so I don't have anything to show for it. Next week I promise!
Bonus: I am including a picture with the T-shirts from the following week so this week's post isn't so monochrome:
