Chapter 15: So Many Miracles!
Nihao!
This week we saw so many miracles. We were able to get one of our investigator, Melody's, dad to sign the permission slip to allow her to be baptized! It's such a miracle. Her mom (Xiao Jie Mei) has been a member for seven years and we believe it is through the power of God and her example that he is allowing her to get baptized. We started teaching Melody when I first got on island, and her dad said she could take the lessons, but not come to church. So we taught her and would just pray that her dad would allow her to come to church. Then one day Xiao Jie Mei said that she asked her husband if he would allow Melody to come to church, and he said yes! It's just been so great since then, and I am so excited for Melody to get baptized! It's so special because Xiao Jie Mei is just so excited that her daughter can get baptized. She has been so patient for these years and I just can't imagine how happy she is right now. I am also so excited for Melody to take this step to get baptized! September 16th is going to be a special day for the SongShan ward, because we have 4 people getting baptized into the ward! We have two investigators, Melody and Zhang Hui Wen, and the Elders have two investigators, a mom and a daughter. I am so excited for the 16th!
Guys, missionary work is literally the best. There is nothing better. Even though it has rained for the last three days, the Lord blesses us in more ways than I can even say. I love being in Taiwan, there is nothing else I'd rather be doing!!
Love you all!!
Love,
Sister Larson

Our district went to Jiu Fen last p-day! It's just an old street on the north part of the island. Very sorry, these pictures are so bad, but whatever. It was jiu much fen. Also if you have ever seen the movie Spirited Away it's based on this street? I've never seen it, but that's what people have told me.
I saw the ocean from Jiu Fen! Sometimes I forget I am on an island. Taiwan is so beautiful!
Last night it "xia dayu"d (wow that pinyin is so bad, so sorry). Which basically means it rained really hard. You can't tell, but Sister Kwan and I are soaking wet, and we were only biking for like 7ish minutes. Woohoo! Mission life is actually literally the best.
