Chapter 18; I learned the Chinese word for spider!

Hope all is well where it is Fall temperatures. It is still super hot here. Yesterday it was 36 degrees Celsius, which is like 97 degrees Fahrenheit. So it is so weird to see pictures of people wearing long-sleeves and coats. If I even think about that here I start to sweat because it is so hot. Also humid. But Taiwan is just so wonderful and great the heat is totally worth it!! 

So this week I learned what the word for spider is in Chinese because I saw one of the biggest spiders I've ever seen. And it's not even comparatively that big because there are spiders here that have bodies as big as dinner plates (thank goodness that I have yet to see one of those). So Sister Kwan and I were walking up the stairs to visit our cute old lady investigator (like she's literally the cutest ever. Also she's so funny. We love her so very much). I was a flight of stairs ahead of her and Sister Kwan just screams all of a sudden. I don't know what's going on and she just yells that there's a huge spider on the stairs. Apparently I missed seeing it as I walked up, (I don't know how because it was huge) but I go down to check it out and the body is as big as my hand. Ew. So then we had to tell our investigator why we screamed in our way up to her apartment. Because of a huge zhi1zhu1. And that is why I learned the Chinese word for spider this week.  

In other news, we had zone conference this week! We learned about having faith and making better invitations. It was super awesome! President Jergensen is the best mission president ever. He has so much wisdom! And Sister Jergensen knows the scriptures better than anyone else I have ever met, she's amazing! Also I got a call last week on Monday asking if I could accompany a musical number for zone conference on Friday, so that was fun. Let's just say that it is hard getting in time to practice the piano when you are a missionary because of our busy schedule. But everything went well and it sounded great! Definitely a blessing from God right there.

Hello! Happy Thanksgiving! This week was so great! We had so much fun this week, ahh it was just so so awesome! This week, we spent a little time preparing a play about the background of Thanksgiving for our ward party on Saturday. Let's just say, it was the funniest thing ever and I would send it to y'all except for the fact that it's in Chinese and most of you wouldn't understand it. But it was actually hilarious and honestly one of the most funny things I've ever participated in. The ward LOVED it and they quoted it all the time at church the next day hahaha. We also got to participate in a super sick aboriginal dance with members of the Beinan tribe. It was sooooo sick and some of the Elders in our district got to wear traditional Taiwanese clothing to dance in. haha I was a little jealous, but it's fine I'm over it.  We had a great thanksgiving too! Chapter 80: I'll be home for Christmas

"You can count on me" hahahaha 大家好 This week was great! We went caroling at Carrefour like last year and it was so much fun.  I don't really know what to say for this week. I just cant believe it's over! Crazy. My mission has been great, it's been hard, its been happy, its been sad. But most importantly, it's been the most amazing experience of my life. Chapters 66 and 67: When the going gets tough, the tough get going AND I become famous X3

Happy September!!  Lol I'm so dead I can't believe it's already September. I think I say that every month. Haha. This week was definitely one of those growing weeks as a missionary. Our friends have like literally all disappeared or texted us saying they don't want to meet with us anymore. Like. Literally all of them. Except for this one really cute family (they are really cool). It's been pretty hard for me and Sister Cajilig because we've been working so hard and having great, spiritual lessons, but then these people just disappear. All at the same time. It's been of one of those "Do I falter or do I finish?" kind of weeks. And we decided to finish! So we are going to go ham this week on the street contacting and finding, it's going to be great!
