Chapter 25: Way better email this week, sorry for all the previous bad emails
你好!
Wow it's already November?! Where has all the time gone? I can't believe in 2 weeks I will hit my 6 month mark on my mission and my 4 month mark on island! Missionary work is the best, but it goes by too fast!
This week was so great, we were able to get a lot of new investigators! We also invited our friend Wendy to baptism, and she accepted a date for December, it was so awesome. We met Wendy 3 weeks ago on the street outside a super fancy mall in our area. Her mom started talking to us first, but because she was already Christian she didn't really want to hear anything from us. So we kind of ignored the mom and just started talking to Wendy haha. She was super interested in hearing about Jesus Christ and she actually grabbed the Book of Mormon from us. She's 22 and reminds me a lot of my older sister, so it's super fun getting to share with her about Jesus Christ! I'm so excited for what's in store for her!
Another cool story from this Sunday, some random girl showed up at church! I had never seen her before, and it was because her teacher who lives in America invited her to come. She was super cute and it was so cool that she came. So even if you have friends who live on opposite sides of the world, even if you just invite them to do something, you never know what might happen because of it! Who knows, they might come to church by themselves!
One other thing about the culture of finding here, it's really hard to talk to people who are already Christian! Because they already know about Jesus Christ, they don't really want to hear what we have to say, even if we are like YO WE ARE DIFFERENT, because they want us to help other people who don't know who Jesus Christ is. So we mostly teach people whose family is Buddhist and don't really know anything at all about Jesus Christ! One of my favorite parts of Preach My Gospel is when it says something along the lines of "Imagine you are teaching someone with a Buddhist background" and all us Taiwan missionaries are like lolololol #everyday. But I think this is why this gospel is just the best, it can touch the lives of everyone, whether you are already Christian, Buddhist, or have no religion at all. Everyone can find peace and happiness in this gospel through Jesus Christ.
I really loved an exercise we did in Relief Society on Sunday. Our teacher asked us to turn to our neighbor and discuss how our lives have changed since we have been baptized. Since all of the members are converts to the church, it's so fun to hear their stories. They all said "很開心" which means very happy. Then the teacher invited them all to share the gospel with their friends, because it made them very happy, and we want everyone to be happy! So I invite you all this week to think back about how this gospel has blessed your life and what blessings you have received since you got baptized, and then share with a friend how it has changed your life, and what feelings you have from it! It will be such a blessing to both you and your friend!
I am so blessed to be here in Taiwan! I love it here, and I especially love SongShan, there's no where else I'd rather be! Love you all!
Love,
Sister Larson

Pictures!
1. There was a really big snail. It is the size of my pointer finger. So of course I took a picture with it. The longer I am in Taiwan the longer I look like that snail. Wet and weird looking (so much rain lol)
2. My comp and I got sick on the same day. It was unfortunate. But we got blessings from it!
3. This is way late, but I got a Halloween package! Shout out to Sister Neubert!
4. We went shopping at the mall at the bottom of Taipei 101 a couple p-days ago. Unfortunately, I wasn't wealthy enough to buy anything. There were Prada, Dior, Versace, Tiffany's, and many other very expensive stores that I could not afford. But I did find some chocolate brand that was my name, so that was cool.
