Chapter 32: Happy New Year!

Wow, time flies so fast, I can't believe it's already 2018! (For me at least haha)

I'm just going to give some updates on last week, because my email was pretty sub-par haha sorry. Last week Iris and Jade got baptized! It was so awesome, and both the services were just wonderful. Iris' baptism was a little crazy though. On the day of her baptism, we had zone conference/Christmas party from 9-5, so we were gone all day. Then at 6 we had a caroling activity we had to go to in Neihu, the area right next to ours, and then Iris' baptism was at 8. Unfortunately, because we were gone all day, it did not cross my mind to turn on the water heater. Most of the time the Elders do that, but because we were gone all day, no one was at the chapel to turn on the water heater, or the water. Thankfully, we remembered to start the water before Iris got baptized, but unfortunately, it was kind of cold. I felt so so so bad, and she was a little nervous, but then I told her I got baptized in cold water too (I can still remember how cold it was hahaha) and it made her feel better . After she got baptized, she bore her testimony, and it was just so wonderful. She talked about how God had helped her take care of her dad and brother and how she was so excited to keep learning about Jesus Christ and His gospel. I am so so blessed to have been able to meet her and share with her God and Jesus Christ's love!!

Jade's baptism on Sunday was so good too. She is so cute, just 11 years old. She had warm water though, I made sure to remember to turn it on this time haha. When she bore her testimony, it was just simple but powerful. Honestly this gospel is the best and it changes people's lives for the better. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL.

Last week for Christmas was pretty fun, we got taken out to steak dinner by our bishop and his wife #IloveQueJieMei. I also got to talk to my family! That was super super fun, they're the best!

This week was awesome, as usual. Just pretty normal, meeting people, teaching people, sharing about Jesus Christ! Last night was pretty crazy because of New Years. I live a mile away from Taipei 101 (I looked it up on Google maps haha) and Taipei 101 always has CRAZY fireworks every New Years. As it turns out, our apartment does not face the 101, so we weren't able to see them. Also we had to go to bed at 11 like normal haha. But there were SO MANY people out last night. It was a great night to talk to a lot of people! Most people didn't live in our area, but that's okay! Somebody's gotta plant those seeds of faith but like literally I wish I could explain to you the amount of people out last night. I've been some pretty crowded places, but never to this extent. Most of the time the crowds are confined in one place, but the sea of people just kept going on for miles, it was crazy. But so so fun.

My comp and I realized this week that she takes a lot of pictures and I am in most of them, so I will send them so you can see them too haha.

Have a wonderful week! Set some super awesome goals this year to SHARE THE GOSPEL!!!!! Every member a missionary!!!

Love,
Sister Larson

It was like 75 degrees last week and I was happy standing in the sun

If you look closely, you can see that I forgot to take my socks off in the morning before putting my flats on. So I looked really dumb and was just not having it.

People here bike with umbrellas because they hate the rain so much lolol

All ready for Taiwanese weather, when it's sunny and nice for an hour, then freezing and rainy for an hour. Gotta remember those #layers

Sometimes I just look up at the right moments I guess

When you are tired and gotta call those investigators, but you also gotta eat your yogurt cuz you're hungry

Biking all day everyday

Yesterday during lunch time I was reading an article in the Liahona, and I guess it just wasn't that interesting and I fell asleep #missionlyfe

I wouldn't mind driving a Tesla in a few years

When you are just so excited about missionary work that you just can't help punching your fist in the air

A little girl in our ward had a birthday and they invited us over to celebrate! She is so cute.
