Chapter 44: Spring has sprung! (And so have my allergies)
大家,早安!
Wow this week was so awesome! We saw some really cool miracles and taught some super awesome lessons. It was such a fun week.
To start off, a fun story about Zhuang JieMei! So if you remember, Zhuang JieMei got baptized last month. She is so awesome, so prepared, and like the best recent convert in the world. Well recently, she has found herself a special male friend (aka she recently got a boyfriend hahaha), Li XianSheng, who she brings to church with her every week! And he is interested in learning more about the gospel! So we met with him this week and taught him about the restoration and set a baptismal date for the end of April with him! And it was super cool too because as we were talking to him about baptism he was saying that he really wanted to know and didn't want to just join the church because of Zhuang JieMei, so we know he has actual real intentions! Super super excited about that.
Another miracle that happened this week was during district meeting, we were at the chapel and a woman walks into the church and is just like, "I have lived by here for a long time and I've always wanted to look around. Once I walked in I just had this huge feeling of peace come over me." #thespiritisreal #thespiritworks so we talked to her a little bit, set up a time with her, and later that week we set a baptismal date with her for the beginning of may! And she came to church! Yay for Xie JieMei! #miraclesallaround
This week I guess something started to bloom that my body didn't like haha. Because on Friday I woke up sneezing. And blowing my nose. And I didn't stop until I went to bed that night. It was pretty rough and kind of hard to get any missionary work done because it was seriously so bad. But medication is real and it works, (sometimes it just takes a little time to start working haha) and it really helps a lot! It's kind of like reading your scriptures and saying your prayers. Went you don't do it, it's kind of rough. Then once you start, it might not feel like anything has changed for a little bit. But then after a while you can really see how much it helps you and how much better you are feeling when you do read and pray everyday. But it also works in the opposite way. Sometimes I forget to take my allergy medication for a day or 2 and nothing really seems to change, but if i continue to forget, my allergies get super bad again and I become absolutely miserable. Same with reading and praying. If you forget once or twice, it may seem like nothing has changed. But it makes it easier to continue to forget. And then you can really feel the difference in your life and you realize you need to start reading and praying everyday again. Moral of the story: don't ever forget to pray, read your scriptures, and take your allergy medication.
I hope you all have a wonderful week! Hope it's as nice and warm and beautiful as it is here in Yilan. Love you all!
Love,
