Chapter 46: #blessed
大家,午安!
This week was so great! Unfortunately Sister Tu and I had to say goodbye, but I'm so excited to start a new chapter in my mission with my new companion Sister Elliott! She is so awesome! We get along super great, we are basically the same person, it is SO much fun! I'm so excited for this next transfer!
This week we got to go back and meet with the two boys we found last week (their Ama was in the hospital) and we shared with them the Restoration! The older brother was moved to tears but the younger brother was a little bored. We had brought him a children's Book of Mormon (the one with the pictures in it) and I read him the first chapter from it about Joseph Smith. 2 miracles occurred. The first one was that the he understood the story and wanted to keep reading more and more and just wanted to learn all he could from the book. And the second miracle is that I was able to even read the book to him #hellocharacters. It was such a cool experience for me and definitely a testimony that the gift of tongues is real. There were some words in there that I didn't recognize, but as I was reading it just kind of came to me what word it was, so I said it and kept reading. I can truly testify the gift of tongues is real. But only as long as we use it for good and to teach, serve, and love others. I'm not saying learning Chinese has been a breeze and I can just rely on the gift of tongues, because it hasn't. I still don't understand a lot. But I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. If the Lord wants me to learn Chinese to teach his children in Taiwan, I can do it. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be a missionary in Taiwan. There's no place I'd rather be. Love you all!
Love,
Sister Larson
