Chapter 47: What happens in Yilan stays in Yilan
大家好!
Hello! This week was wonderful! I'm emailing a little late in the week because we are going to the temple today and so our pday changed to Wednesday #powerweek
We had some great things happen this last week! We were able to go to the "Chatting Corner" at National Yilan University. It's where we go and talk to college students in English for an hour and a half! It's like literally one of the most fun things in the world. Just talking to people my age about life (in English, nonetheless, #blessed)(don't get me wrong, I love the Chinese language and I am so blessed to be able to learn and speak it, but sometimes, I miss communicating in English haha), it is SO fun! And then we invite them to English class so they can keep learning English and have an opportunity to hear the gospel! I actually don't think I've ever explained English class before. So every Wednesday night at every chapel in our mission from 7-8:30, we teach a free English class. From 7-8, we teach, speak, and practice English with students at 4 different levels: beginning, middle, advanced, and children's. Then from 8-8:30 we have a spiritual share that we plan so that they have interest and it applies to their life and the lesson. Sister Elliott and I are right now the children's class teachers. It's definitely very interesting, but a lot of fun. And it's a great way to find new investigators and have people come to our chapel and feel the spirit that is there. It's so awesome.
Another fun thing this week, Sister Elliott and I cut each other's hair this week! I chopped off like 6 inches. We used the actual worst scissors I have ever seen in my whole life. They like can't even cut paper. But now my hair is short so that's fun!
Last week we also had zone conference with Elder Meurs of the seventy. It was way awesome! We learned a lot of great things on how our mission can teach repentance and baptize one convert per month per companionship. Sister Elliott and I are super pumped to start using this training to help us get more baptisms!
Have a wonderful week! It's hard to believe that winter semester is already almost out for BYU. I have officially been gone for 2 semesters and I've been on my mission longer than I was at college. So that's crazy. Love you all!

Pictures:
1. We did a face mask yesterday. I was literally DYING laughing the whole time I thought sister Elliott's face looked so funny.
2. Cute selfie. It was kind of cold this week so the turtle neck came out of its shell. (Lol what v sorry that doesn't even make sense)
3. The aftermath of one rash decision and a pair of very ratchet scissors.
