Chapters 54 and 55: Peace, Magic, Golf / "I thought velociraptors could jump 60 feet in the air...?"
大家好ㄠㄠㄠㄠ (Hello everyone)
This week was great!! We had a lot of cool things happened, especially yesterday!!
First off, a quick funny story that happened yesterday. We were eating dinner with a bunch of members and for some reason we started talking about sports, and one of them members asked if I played any sports. I said yes, I play volleyball. Then she looked back at me and was like, are you sure you weren't the cheerleader or did you actually play volleyball? It was like the worst thing ever hahaha. It was so funny but also incredibly awkward because she was like you're so nice, so pretty you can be a cheerleader! But like, I'm not down for that hahaha. The Elders won't ever let me forget that one lol.
Another thing that happened yesterday was we went to a Fireside!!! It was super great and it was President's last fireside before he goes home. We were able to bring our investigator Connie, and she really enjoyed it!! On the bus home she asked us a lot of questions about the gospel. We haven't taught her about any of the commandments yet, so she didn't know about any of them, but she heard about them during the talks a lot. She asked us about the law of Chastity, the word of wisdom, and Eternal Marriage on the bus ride home. It was really cool because we were able to teach her about those commandments in a very normal setting and she was really cool about accepting all of them!!! She got off the bus before we did and then we thought that we had missed our bus stop a really long time before, and so we got off at the next bus stop. But then we realized that we were still a mile away from where we parked our bikes hahaha. So we started walking really quickly back to our bikes because it was already 9:30 (9:30 is the time we were supposed to be home) and we were still like half an hour away. So we're walking fast and we start talking to this one girl on the sidewalk. She was really cool and we were able to set up with her!!! She set up a time to meet with us on Tuesday!! It was super awesome! She's a college student and had interest in the Book of Mormon! So we are really excited about that miracle that we saw.
Another awesome thing that happened this week was we set a baptismal date with our investigator Li JieMei for the end of July. We followed up about how prayer went with her and she said that every time she said a prayer she just felt so relaxed and calm and that she was able to have more positive thoughts. I know prayer can help us in our lives like this too. I know prayer definitely has helped me a lot on my mission when I am struggling when the language is hard, I'm sad, or I'm happy!! Prayer is super awesome!!
Today was also really fun because a member took us and the elders to the top of YangMing mountain and it was a lot of fun!!! It was super misty and foggy on the top though, so when we were trying to look out at the scenery all it was was a wall of white, but it was still really cool haha.
I'm so grateful to be a missionary in the Taiwan Taipei Mission!!! I love being a missionary, it's the best!!
I love you all, have a great week!!!

This week was great!!! I'm so sorry, I partied way too hard on pday so this email is going to be a little short. V sorry.
But the highlight of this week was definitely setting our friend Apple on a baptismal date!! Apple is so awesome, she has a few physical disabilities, but she has such great faith!! She wasn't willing to set a date in the past but recently she has improved a lot, and set a date for the beginning of July!! We are so excited for her!
In other news this week, there's a new translatation of the Chinese Book of Mormon!! So far I haven't found a lot of differences, but I'm excited for a new translation! I love the Book of Mormon, and I'm so grateful that I can be here sharing about it!!
I promise I'll write a super kicking email next week! Love you all!
