Chapter 58: Sister Hong and Sister Lin take Muzha

大家好ㄠㄠㄠㄠㄠ!!

AH. This week has been SO. GOOD. I feel like I say that every week, but it's true!

First off, I got my new companion! Her name is Sister Cajilig and she is SO LEGITTTTT. She's from Utah and she visa waited in LA for one transfer. We are already great friends, and I can tell this is going to be a LEGENDARY next 3 months. We've set lots of awesome goals and have lots of awesome plans to help lots of awesome people get baptized!

Speaking of baptism, Apple is so close! She has progressed so much in the last several weeks, and she has her baptismal interview scheduled! She is so awesome and so prepared and so ready! She loves praying and coming to church and listening to the scriptures we send to her. We are so excited for her to be baptized!

This last week was also pretty crazy, to say the least. Transfer day was Tuesday morning, but the trainees didn't get here until Thursday, so I had member companions from Tuesday morning to Wednesday night! Except for at night when I would travel like an hour to sleep at the STLs apartment. It was pretty crazy and kind of weird just being with members and doing missionary work with them all day for 2 days. But it was fun! I'll attach pictures of all of my companions. I had a total of 9 different companions during the week haha. I just kind of floated around with whoever would take me lol.

As we were getting ready for church yesterday, the song "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go" came on not once, but twice! I thought it was very interesting that it played twice, so the second time I listened more closely to the lyrics, wondering what I needed to learn from this song. Then we attend sacrament meeting and it was our opening song! I guess God really wanted me to learn something. As I was studying and pondering the words, the chorus really impacted me.

"I’ll say what you want me to say, dear Lord;
I’ll be what you want me to be."

What actions are we going to take to be the person the Lord wants us to be? How are we becoming the best missionary or member or friend or person we can be?
I know that as we always strive to say, do, and be our best, we can become what the Lord wants us to become. He will always help us be our very best self, we just need to humble ourselves and try try again. I know this gospel is true and that we can become better through Christ! I cannot become who I want to become by myself, I need Christ's grace and His help!

I love you all and hope you have a great week! Also happy 4th of July! I love Taiwan, but I do love America SO MUCH

Tell her you know Sister Larson (or Lin JieMei, most people here don't know my English name because it's hard for them to pronounce lolol)
