Chapter 61: Stuffing our lives with service

大家好!
Another great week is in the books. Here are a few highlights:

Yesterday we rode our bikes to a place called Shenkeng 深坑! It's a place we frequent because we have a few investigators there. We went so we could meet up with one, a family with a thirteen year old daughter who is the only one receptive to our message! After we made the 30 minute bike ride over the mom came to the door and told us 不方便!Which means inconvenient because their daughter was asleep! But let me tell you all a little miracle. Their home was filled with stacks of little booklet things and envelopes. She told us it was inconvenient because the daughter we came to teach was asleep and that there was no room in the house because of all the stuff. But guess what we did... we offered... SERVICE!!! So awesome! For that next hour we literally helped stuff envelopes for this family! And it was probably the most fun service I've ever done. We were also able to talk with the mom and get to know her more! I can really testify that service opens up people's hearts to be more prepared to receive the gospel! And that there are so many different ways to serve others. Simple acts of kindness can lead to GREATNESS!

Another great thing that happened was MARCELLLLLLL. AHHH SHE'S SO LEGIT. We shared with her the restoration and it literally blew her mind. It was like the greatest thing yo reveal to her that in 1820, God called a new prophet. I wish you could have seen her face. I've never seen anyone more excited to know we have a living prophet. She also LOVES the Book of Mormon. She texts us about it almost everyday. She said she gets tingles in her head and on her arms as she's reading it and that sometimes she has to put it down because she's just so overwhelmed with how amazing it is. So yeah. Marcel is pretty legit. #ilovemarcel

In other news, tomorrow is my 1 year mark on island. It's crazy to think that I've been on island for a year now! Time on the mission is so weird, it's so slow, but also so fast. It still seems like my life stopped on May 24, 2017. Every time I write the date, I write 2017 on accident haha. But I'm so grateful that I've had this opportunity to be on this beautiful island with these amazing people for the last year! And I'm so ready for these last four months!

Love you all! Have a great week. Do something pioneer-y!

Love,
Sister Larson
