Chapter 62: Back to Yilan!

大家好!
So I feel like I just emailed like like 3 days ago and not a ton of stuff has happened since then, but it's still super amazing here!
One really cool experience we had was on Saturday. Saturday afternoon Sister Cajilig and I left to go to Yilan because we were going to attend a baptism! Do you remember to Zhuang JieMei from before? She was someone I taught when I first moved to Yilan and she got baptized in February. She was the one who shared the gospel with her cousin, and then her cousin got baptized in May! Well, right after she got baptized, she decided she needed to tune her piano. So she called a piano tuner to come over to tune her piano and they ended up hitting it off pretty well! She kept in contact with him and they started dating! And then because she's super awesome and super legit, she started to share the gospel with him! And now Brother Li is baptized!! It was such an amazing experience for me to be able to attend the baptism. I remember when they started dating and he agreed to take the lessons. My companion and I taught him the first 2 lessons before passing him off to the elders. Zhuang JieMei was such a big help, she always made sure that they read scriptures together with Dan Dan (her son). Now they are preparing for an eternal family!
I'm also so grateful for Zhuang JieMei's example to me of doing member missionary work. She is always sharing with everyone and because of her influence and her diligence and sharing the gospel, two people have been baptized. And she and Brother Li are going to get married at the beginning of next year!! #eternalfamily.
I know that this church is true and that it really blesses our lives. I know as we strive to find opportunities to share this gospel that God will let us meet people that we can share the gospel with. I'm so grateful that I have this opportunity be a missionary here in Taiwan and that I can meet all these amazing people. Love you all!!

Love,
Sister Larson

5. Brother Li's baptism with Zhuang JieMei and Dan Dan!!!

6. We went to this fancy, hipster, Mediterranean restaurant and there was a tree growing in the middle of our table. On the plus side, I got to eat hummus for the first time in over a year #blessed

7. Oh goodness. I've been seeing these ads for this movie everywhere. But here's the crazy thing. It's the next installment in a movie series, and I remember when the first movie came out LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS HERE. So I have been in Taiwan for long enough for two movies in the same series to come out. #what #shook
