Chapters 63 and 64: Apple's roasting on an open fire (or Sister Cajilig) >AND< SUNday funday
大家早ㄠㄠㄠ
Wow, what a great, long week it has been! But also so short. Time flies by here.
The reason I'm writing late is because on Monday Elder David Homer from the Asia Area Presidency came and spoke to our mission. It was amazing! One of my favorite things that he said was "don't compare your inside to someone else's outside." So often we compare ourselves to other people's outward version of themselves. We all are imperfect, it's unfair to us to do that to ourselves. It was a great reminder to me. So often I get caught up in how I compare to everyone else. When in all actuality, it doesn't matter. The only person who is allowed to judge us is God, and He knows the true us. So just remember to make your inside the best it can be. :)
Another great thing that happened this week was we were able to meet with Marcel again! Because of her job, and the fact that she's not Taiwanese, it's hard for her to get work off and for her to ask for a shift change, so church is going to be hard to overcome. But she's just literally the best and she loves the Book of Mormon SO MUCH. She just raves about it and talks about it all the time. I love Marcel.
Another person I love is Apple. We are still working on some opposition from her parents, so she isn't able to get baptized right now. But we still meet with her at least twice a week and she comes to church every week. She's literally so cute. She also loves to correct my amazing companion, Sister Cajilig. Sister Cajilig has great Chinese, but because she's only been on island for 1 transfer, she's still working on how to say a few sounds that we don't use in English. And so every time Sister Cajilig says something that is not 100% right, Apple just roasts her and then prays that she'll be able to figure out how to say certain words. Hahaha. We literally die every time.
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Loool August is halfway over I'm dead.

2. Elevator selfie with a few members on our way up to our Bishop's penthouse. He lives on the 16th floor in an apartment building on top of a mountain. It's literally gorgeous up there. Pretty sure I sent pics of it last week.
3. I love sister hong #hongdynasty
4. I have a shirt with a pocket like the Elders' so I put on my elder tag and stuck an English tract in there and whoops became #ElderLarson feat. My awful neck/shoulder tanline, my watch tanline, and my especially bad foot tanline #rip
5. We returned to the infamous "Once I hate pasta, now it's my life" if you remember that from two transfers ago haha.
7. There was someone with a pet meerkat. I didn't realize I was living in meerkat manor.

6. We ate a Buddha head fruit. Not sure what it's name is in English, but it's reaaaaally sweet. Eventually you just feel like your eating sugar haha. The literal Chinese translation is something along the lines of Buddha head because it's named after a Buddhist god that has lots of faces and looks something like this fruit I guess. Lol. Also I like to wear sweaters in August because they are comfy and sometimes the A.C. gets too cold someone send help I'm too used to the heat and humidity. Rip.

It's been a great few days. And also so busy! Last week we only had like 2 proselyting days because we had a bunch on meetings and for some reason all of our friends could only meet on Friday. So it was an interesting week. But God let us see lots of miracles! We were able to hit our goals for new friends and people at church! What a great week.
Cool story from this week. We met a new friend named Lin JieMei (just like me! And like 40% of everyone in Taiwan lolol. Ps JieMei means sister) We were sitting in a 7/11 doing our comp study and we started talking to her because she was sitting at the table next to us. She was super cool and she ended up setting up a time to meet with us on Friday! When we met with her on Friday we shared about Jesus Christ and how we can receive forgiveness through Him. The Spirit was so strong. Even though we were sitting in a 7-11 in the middle of Taipei, the Spirit was still able to testify to her that what we were saying was true. She even started to cry. What a cool lesson.
Quick funny story from this week. As mentioned in previous emails of mine, I like force my district to have #團結 (unity) as we dress for the day (# lookgoodfeelgoodchuanjiaogood) . One thing we started doing was SUNday, which means we all wear yellow on Sundays. Most times, if I want it to happen, I have to remind everyone the night before and plead or else it won't happen. Unfortunately, I've been giving up reminding them recently. BUT today Sister Cajilig and I showed up to church and guess what color tie the elders were wearing? YELLOW. It was a truly a SUNday to remember. That's how we like to do it in Muzha #團結就是力量
Hope you all have a great week! If you want to participate in the Muzha district unity, you can join us on Bluesday. We appreciate your efforts.
Love,
Sister Larson
2. That face you make when your friends say they aren't coming to English class.
3. Happy Taiwanese Valentine's day from the cutest sister missionaries in Muzha
4. Me and my pengyou, kungfu master Cui didi. Last night at our ward dinner party he crouched down, held one hand out to me and beckoned to me with it, like kungfu fighters do. He then proceeded to do some sort of break dancing kick thing on the floor to try to knock me off my feet. Let's just say I lost that fight.
5. Our response to the elders' picture. It was pday and we weren't having it.
6. Sister Cajilig said "smile" so I did.

Pics: (here's the most unfortunate thing, we forgot to take a SUNday picture #rip)
1. The elders saw us eating at our favorite hot pot place and decided to take a creeper picture through the window. See pic #5 for our response.
