Chapter 65: Friends lost, friends found

大家早 This week was great! And crazy! But crazy great!   The craziest thing that happened this week was that my most favorite app in the world, MaaS360, (please take note of the sarcasm) died this last week. So for some background. MaaS360 is an app that the church has us put on our phones that restricts us from doing a lot of things. Like going to websites that aren't   lds.org . Or downloading apps that aren't approved by the church. Which is good. I'm grateful for this app in the sense. But it also makes our phones incredibly slow and it makes them crash frequently. But then. On Monday night we get this text from the recorder elder in our mission group chat that basically says "MaaS360 is having some issues and it's deleting every app that you ever downloaded on your phone. So in case that happens, don't panic. The church is trying to fix it." Lol. Our apps literally have our entire area book on them. And the only way to contact our friends. So ...

大家早ㄠㄠㄠ Wow, what a great, long week it has been! But also so short. Time flies by here. The reason I'm writing late is because on Monday Elder David Homer from the Asia Area Presidency came and spoke to our mission. It was amazing! One of my favorite things that he said was "don't compare your inside to someone else's outside." So often we compare ourselves to other people's outward version of themselves. We all are imperfect, it's unfair to us to do that to ourselves. It was a great reminder to me. So often I get caught up in how I compare to everyone else. When in all actuality, it doesn't matter. The only person who is allowed to judge us is God, and He knows the true us. So just remember to make your inside the best it can be. :) Another great thing that happened this week was we were able to meet with Marcel again! Because of her job, and the fact that she's not Taiwanese, it's hard for her to get work off and for her to ask ...

Chapter 63: Sisters, Sisters

大家好! This week was another awesome week!! Two highlights of the week: Marcel, and Zone Conference! First, Marcel. She set a baptismal date! We taught her the Plan of Salvation and told her that she needs to be baptized in order to live with Heavenly Father again. When we asked her if she was willing to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized, she said "Of course, why not?" Ahhh she's so great. She set a date for the beginning of Septemeber and she's asking her boss if she can get Sunday mornings off so she can go to church. I LOVE MARCEL. We had Zone Conference with President and Sister Peterson this week and it was so awesome! It was super spiritual and we learned more about our divine identity and having positive thoughts. It was soooo good and also a lot of fun to see old friends. Lol I actually have only ever been to Taipei zone conference because I've only ever served in Taipei or Taipei zones. #livelovetaibei  Haha so quick funny story is that ...

Chapter 62: Back to Yilan!

大家好! So I feel like I just emailed like like 3 days ago and not a ton of stuff has happened since then, but it's still super amazing here! One really cool experience we had was on Saturday. Saturday afternoon Sister Cajilig and I left to go to Yilan because we were going to attend a baptism! Do you remember to Zhuang JieMei from before? She was someone I taught when I first moved to Yilan and she got baptized in February. She was the one who shared the gospel with her cousin, and then her cousin got baptized in May! Well, right after she got baptized, she decided she needed to tune her piano. So she called a piano tuner to come over to tune her piano and they ended up hitting it off pretty well! She kept in contact with him and they started dating! And then because she's super awesome and super legit, she started to share the gospel with him! And now Brother Li is baptized!! It was such an amazing experience for me to be able to attend the baptism. I remember when they start...
